- No home/work charging + daily public charging.
- Heavy commuting/road trips beyond 1,000 mi/mo.
- They’ll keep it 12+ months — lease/used EV likely wins.
- They need gig work: Autonomy support says no Uber/Lyft/delivery.
Model 3 “Explore”
$500/mo + $1,000 start fee is the least-bad bridge plan.
Do not pay a higher start fee to lower the monthly unless the Rivian delay is truly long.

SGV is EV-friendly enough
Pasadena/Arcadia/Alhambra/Monrovia side is fine. Search results showed Pasadena with hundreds of public stations and dozens of DC fast chargers.
- Home charging: strong yes.
- Public DC only: workable, but annoying and pricier.
- Rivian prep: use the bridge period to install/test home charging.
Shitty reviews = ops slop, not obvious scam
- App bugs: Google Play around 2.6★ / 89 reviews; complaints about login/payment errors.
- Support drop-off: “fine initially, terrible after payment” theme in reviews.
- Used-car condition: complaints about brakes/seats/delivery delays; vehicles are used Autonomy-owned cars.
- Drive-off surprise: one Leasehackr user saw ~$2,561 first-month cash out in 2023 pricing incl. deposit/taxes.
- Cancellation overlap: 31-day hold + 14-day notice can overlap with Rivian delivery.

- Screenshot the full checkout quote: monthly, start fee, tax, insurance, deposit, delivery fee.
- Get cancellation / refund / return terms in writing.
- Confirm insurance requirement and whether Autonomy insurance is optional or mandatory.
- Video the whole car at pickup/delivery: wheels, tires, windshield, seats, paint, odometer, charging kit.
- Test app login + payment before driving away.
- Calendar the cancellation notice date relative to Rivian ETA.

Autonomy Model 3 Explore if Rivian ETA is 45–180 days.
Add a Rivian Turo weekend for real R1S/R1T validation.
If ETA slips past ~9–12 months, re-shop: EV lease, lease takeover, or used EV.
